ROYAL WOLF LODGE
Welcome to Royal Wolf Country

If
you want to experience wild and pristine lands and experience the
best wild rainbow fishing on the planet, you might want to consider
Big Ku Lodge.
RWL is now offering trips of shorter duration, designed for outdoor
individuals with a busy schedule, or someone that just wants to take
a few days off to reap the benefits of the best rainbow fishing in
Alaska, all within walking distance of your cabin. The land around
the outlet of Kukaklek, or the Big Ku, though within Katmai National
Park and Preserve, is private land. It belongs to the Igiugig (Ig-ee-og-ig)
Native Corporation, a native village corporation established during
the land settlements with the aboriginal native peoples of Alaska.
Linda
and Chris Branham have a long term lease for Royal Wolf Lodge and
our guests. We hold lease rights to over five-thousand acres. It
includes all the prime lands downstream on both banks and miles of
the shoreline along the lake.
Royal Wolf has just completed a very comfortable out-camp lodge at
Big Ku. Thus giving our guests, both at Royal Wolf and Big Ku,
unlimited access to the best rainbow fishing throughout the whole
season. You will see brown bear, wolves, caribou, moose, eagles, and
loons from the comfort and security of your private cabin.
The lodge facilities include a main cabin, with living, dining room,
full bath and kitchen, plus two separate cabins, bedroom and private
bath. The buildings over looking the river and lake stand on a high
bluff. It is open tundra country with scattered brush and small
spruce trees.
Wild Rainbows that make everything worthwhile; we treat them kindly,
knowing the future will provide other’s with the same joy.

Aerial view of Big Ku, plenty of water to explore. Plenty of fresh salmon to provide a food source for numerous brown bear.
